Tracy Burns, CEO
Tracy Burns has served as NEHRA’s Chief Executive Officer since November of 2010. Prior to this role, she spent nearly 20 years working in corporate HR, holding leadership positions across various industries, including financial services,
higher education/healthcare, publishing and food/beverage.
Tracy is the author of,Before and After Resumes: How to Turn a Good Resume Into A Great One. In 2016 she received SmartCEO’s Brava Award as one of 40 female leaders in Greater Boston. In 2017, she was featured in Boston Business Journal’s
series “Women of Influence”. A sought after expert in “all things HR”, Tracy is often quoted in local and national media outlets and has been featured on various industry related podcasts, including The Hennessy Report and HR Rebooted.
In 2017, Tracy and business partner Mim Minichiello developed and launched Hytched (www.hytched.co), an on-line platform connecting companies who need interim HR expertise with experienced HR professionals. Currently in its second iteration,
Hytched has seen early success as a growing “gig” resource and landed Tracy on the “Top 300 Women to Watch in HR Tech”.
Tracy is actively involved in the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), as well as the American Society of Association Executive (ASAE). She sits on the HR Management Advisory Board at Bryant University and the Work Without Limits
Business Advisory Council at UMass Medical School in Worcester, MA.
Tracy holds a bachelor’s degree in business/human resources from California State University and a master’s degree in Organizational Development from Lesley University. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Tracy has called the Boston “home”
since 1996. She is passionate about advancing female leaders, raising two fabulous boys and her bulldog Moose.
Sara Frank, Director of Events & Communications
Sara is the Director of Events & Communications at NEHRA, and has been with the association since 2010. She manages the operations of all NEHRA's meetings and events, and works to enhance our outward visibility and brand. Prior to NEHRA,
Sara worked as Director of Membership at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA, where she planned corporate and social events.
Sara holds a bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from James Madison University. Originally from Northern Virginia, she relocated to Massachusetts in 2007. She lives in Westminster with her husband and two kids, enjoys
practicing yoga, and loves being an aunt to her 13 nieces and nephews.
Pat DiSalvo, Membership Manager
Pat is the Membership Manager at NEHRA. She joined NEHRA in 2007, filling in part-time for a colleague on maternity leave, and we've never let her leave! She is now the friendly voice you hear on the phone each day when you call the office,
as well as a vital resource to membership and member services. Prior to NEHRA, Pat spent six years as the HR/Office Manager for a consulting company that specialized in organizational transformation, and five years as a HR Manager for
a large property management company.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Pat lives with her husband and two children, and she loves to travel.
Alex Mascaro, Events & Operations Specialist
Alex is the Events and Operations Specialist at NEHRA. He joined the association in 2015 after spending a number of years in college admissions. He supports our programming, and helps ensure smooth operations within the organization. Some
of Alex's projects include managing our eLearning Platform and Online Community, as well as the organization's various systems and processes.
Alex earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Assumption College in Worcester. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, his friends and family, boating and cheering on his New England sports teams!
Marissa Cammarano, Project Coordinator
Marissa is the Project Coordinator at NEHRA. The most recent addition to the team, Marissa joined the association in August of 2017. She supports all of NEHRA’s events and meetings, including logistics, registration, and onsite management.
She also assists with various organizational initiatives, runs our Emerging Professionals and Mentoring programs, and assists the team in their own organizational efforts.
Marissa has earned two Bachelor’s degrees from Post University in Waterbury, CT. Majoring in Sport Management and Marketing, she recently graduated Summa Cum Laude and was recognized by three separate honors societies. Marissa also played
division 2 softball, where she was honored for the highest GPA in the conference for three consecutive years. Marissa is also a personal trainer and enjoys fitness and watching sports in her free time.
