NEHRA’s Diversity and Inclusion Forum

Doing It By The Numbers: Diversity, Metrics and the Bottom Line

With diversity programs expanding and being used more widely, senior leadership teams are increasingly asking "what return on investment am I getting from the diversity work?   This presentation will focus on diversity metrics moving beyond employee demographics that can help you show your senior leadership team the ROI that your work is bringing to the organization.

Presenter Kari Heistad has been working in the diversity and inclusion space for more than 20 years as the founder and CEO of Culture Coach International and for the past three years as the founder and CEO of the Diversity Dashboard, an online project management platform focused on helping diversity professionals who are moving beyond measuring employee demographics to measure their activities and programs.  She has written an extensive diversity metrics model and also the Pocket Guide to Diversity Metrics which attendees will receive.

Kari Heistad is the founder and CEO of the Diversity Dashboard and Culture Coach International (CCI). In her work, she leverages more than 20 years of experience in the fields of diversity, inclusion and cross cultural issues to help companies use diversity and inclusion to achieve their strategic goals. CCI’s line of practical and easy to use diversity tools have been used around the world. Kari was a work committee leader for the SHRM national diversity standards writing committee. She has spoken at national diversity conferences including on the topic of metrics which has become a focus of her work following her founding of the Diversity Dashboard. The Diversity Dashboard is an online project management system designed to help diversity professionals make data-based decision and to show the value of their work in creating inclusive and innovative workplaces.
