NEHRA's Webinar Series:

The ADA Interactive Process: A Practical Approach to Implementation

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires covered employers to provide effective, reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities. To help determine effective accommodations, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), recommends that employers use an “interactive process,” which simply means that employers and employees with disabilities who request accommodations work together to come up with accommodations. In this session, learn how to craft an accommodation process that will better support employees seeking an accommodation and the managers working to support them. With a focus on the interactive process, we will explore how to:

• Recognize an accommodation request

• Gather Information

• Explore accommodation options

• Choose an accommodation

• Implement and monitor the accommodation
