Current Immigration Issues

USCIS' Policy Announcements & The Challenges for Global Mobility Under President Trump

Presented by Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP

Description

Attorneys from Fragomen will address the significant increase in challenges to U.S. business immigration, including USCIS's two recent policy announcements, which involve a major escalation in immigration enforcement initiatives, and a significant change in USCIS’ adjudication procedures. The speakers will also cover the substantial increase in immigration related government audits as a result of the coordinated agency enforcement directives issued in April 2017, including the expansion of USCIS Fraud Detection and National Security (FDNS) work site inspections to new case types and a significant increase in ICE I-9 inspections. Finally, the speakers will address some of the immigration related proposals pending in Congress and at the relevant government agencies, and how your organization can best position itself to respond to the potential changes. This presentation will ensure that you are up-to-date on the latest immigration issues affecting your organization and the challenges for global mobility.
