Understanding the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

Program Overview

The FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) law is intended to balance the needs of employees with the requirements of the workplace.  Understanding the complexities of FMLA can be challenging, but it is the responsibility of the employer to know the requirements and to determine when FMLA applies.  This program will cover the fundamentals of FMLA, including how it intersects with other leave laws, the ADA and Worker’s Compensation.  We will also discuss the role of the supervisor as it relates to FMLA and their role in helping to keep your organization compliant.
