Human Resource professionals have a variety of projects to be completed on a regular basis, some of which are strategic and will have an impact on the entire organization. This program ‐ specifically developed for HR professionals ‐ provides a simple process for day‐to‐day management of HR initiatives.

What You Will Learn:

• How to take a project management approach to managing HR initiatives

• Project management basics, including developing the:

  • Scope statement

  • Work Breakdown Structure

  • Project schedule

  • Communications Plan

  • Risk management plan

  • Change management plan

  • Status report procedures

• Identifying stakeholders and socializing your initiative

• Securing the resources you need on projects and identifying roles and responsibilities

• Motivating and managing project teams

• Closing the project and capturing lessons learned

A case study is used to understand the concepts in the classroom. Participants will be provided templates for use back on the job.

Our Presenter:

Gina Abudi, MBA is President of Abudi Consulting Group, LLC. She has over 20 years of consulting experience in project and process management and in leadership and business strategy for organizations of all sizes.  Gina is frequently sought out by management and executives in organizations of every size - from small businesses to larger organizations - to help them understand "this project management thing" - as many of them have called it.

Gina has presented at various conferences on various project and process management, team leadership, business impact and ROI, and other management and leadership topics.  She has written a number of white papers and articles on various management and project management topics, which can be found on her blog: http://www.ginaabudi.com/.  Additionally, her articles and white papers appear on a number of international online forums, blogs, and magazines.  Gina has co-authored a book on best practices for small businesses due to be published by Alpha Books in late 2011. She is also a contributing author to a book by Gantthead.com entitled Project Pain Reliever, to be released in mid-2011. Gina received her MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management.

NEHRA Registration Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a seminar for which you are registered, please notify the NEHRA office in writing at least two weeks in advance or as soon as possible. Cancellations received within two weeks of the seminar are subject to a $50 cancellation fee; those received within 72 hours of the event are subject to a $125 cancellation fee. Seminar "no shows" do not receive a refund.
