Our Presenters:

Daniel Klein is a partner in the Labor and Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw's Boston office.  Mr. Klein represents employers in litigation involving non-competition and contract disputes and the defense of claims of wage and hour violations, breach of contract, discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, defamation and other common law and statutory claims.  Mr. Klein also counsels clients regarding compliance with federal and state employment laws and trade-secrets protection strategies; he negotiates and drafts employment contracts, severance agreements, non-competition, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, personnel policies and company handbooks.  Mr. Klein received his J.D., from Boston College Law School, and his B.A. from Colgate University.

John F. Quill is a partner in the Immigration group in the Boston Office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Mr. Quill handles all aspects of immigration and nationality law, including processing of B, E, H, J, L, O, and TN non-immigrant visa positions, applications for PERM labor certification, Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher and National Interest waiver petitions, adjustment of status, consular processing, and naturalization. Mr. Quill is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is the volunteer attorney for the Irish Immigration Center. He also serves as a frequent panelist at immigration seminars, has served as co-chair of AILA regional conferences and has authored numerous articles on business immigration topics.

Dana L. Fleming is an associate in the Labor & Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. She serves as a member of the firm's Wage & Hour practice group and has significant experience in the defense of complex wage and hour claims. Ms. Fleming has also successfully defended employers against all types of discrimination and harassment claims and regularly provides counseling and advice to employers on a wide variety of topics including reductions in force, the accommodation of disabled employees and the Family and Medical Leave Act. In addition to her employment law practice, Ms. Fleming also advises school and university clients through the firm's Education Law Practice group. As part of her work with schools, Ms. Fleming has written and presented extensively on the subject of student suicide and involuntary leaves of absence.

Anthony S. Califano is an associate in Seyfarth Shaw's Boston office and a member of the firm's Labor & Employment department.  Mr. Califano devotes his practice to the representation of management in a range of employment-related matters, including litigation of single and multi-plaintiff claims and employment counseling. Mr. Califano's litigation experience includes the representation of employers in federal and state courts regarding claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under federal and state employment laws.  He also defends employers in litigation involving federal and state wage and hour laws.  Mr. Califano has significant experience defending employment-related claims before federal and state administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and labor departments.

Brigitte M. Duffy is a partner in the Labor & Employment Department at Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Her practice focuses on representing management in employment-related litigation with a particular emphasis on handling wage and hour litigation, and in providing workplace advice and counseling. Ms. Duffy has represented a number of businesses, including hotels, restaurants, limousine companies, and airlines in litigation arising out of their practices in handling the distribution of tips, service charges, and other charges, and in taking the tip credit against minimum wage. In addition, she routinely litigates employment matters before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and in state and federal courts. She has trial experience defending employers and individual managers against claims brought under common law and federal and state anti-discrimination laws. Ms. Duffy also has substantial experience briefing and arguing dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, and advocating client positions at administrative hearings, court conferences, and mediation sessions.

Beth L. Gobeille is an associate in the Boston office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. A member of the Labor & Employment Department, she focuses on single-plaintiff litigation and wage and hour litigation matters.  Ms. Gobeille has experience in the representation of management in a wide variety of labor and employment law matters, including the litigation of discrimination, wage and hour, and retaliation claims. Ms. Gobeille has also represented management in the defense of unfair trade practice allegations and employment-related tort claims. Her appellate experience includes a significant pro-bono matter before the Supreme Judicial Court in which a team of Seyfarth Shaw attorneys representing an assault victim, argued that reporting a crime to the police cannot lead to civil liability under the Massachusetts Anti-SLAPP statute.

If you are unable to attend a seminar for which you are registered, please notify the NEHRA office in writing at least two weeks in advance or as soon as possible. Cancellations received within two weeks of the seminar are subject to a $100 cancellation fee; those received within 72 hours of the event are subject to a $150 cancellation fee. Seminar "no shows" do not receive a refund.

Northbound on Route 95/128:
Take the Wyman/Winter Street Exit 27B. At the light turn left onto Wyman Street and follow for 1/2 mile. Take the first left into the south parking garage. Parking is complimentary.
