Overview:
This session will
focus on HR’s role in guiding the selection process throughout the
talent life cycle. From attraction and acquisition to development and
retention, you’ll learn today’s best practices including: promoting
your organization as an employer of choice to attract the best talent
and making optimal hiring decisions to build high performing teams.
This session also includes hands-on practice to improve behavioral
interviewing.
Presenters:
Laura Horlitz is the Talent Acquisition Manager of Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA. She joined BCBSMA in 2003 as Senior Recruiter and has responsibility for Talent Acquisition for several major corporate areas of the company including Finance, Legal, and Corporate Strategy. Previously, Laura was an independent corporate recruiter and human resources consultant for numerous organizations, guiding their efforts in building best practice recruitment functions.
Laura’s talent assessment and development skills were developed over a 15-year career with nSight in Burlington, MA. Laura grew and managed the staffing division of the communications services firm with responsibility for major accounts including Fidelity Investments, Massachusetts Medical Society, State Street Corporation, and major high tech companies and internet start-ups.
Laura has been a presenter at career seminars sponsored by Harvard Business Publishing, Bookbuilders of Boston, Society for Technical Communication, and numerous Colleges and Universities. In 2011, Laura was recognized by her peers in the Association of Employment Professionals annual excellence in recruiting recognition event.
Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Ithaca College.

include case studies, relevant exercises and tips/tools for you to take back to
your organization.
