the Basics Individual Session: Communicate & Negotiate
Program
Overview:
Participate in a
Predictive Index analysis and receive a feedback report designed highlight your
own natural motivators and how they impact the way you process information,
make decisions and communicate at work followed by learning the art of
negotiation from an experienced attorney, by looking at different conflict
styles and exploring the pros/cons of each. Broaden your approach to negotiation
and discover principle based negotiation. This interactive session will offer
plenty of opportunities to practice ways to be a more effective negotiator.

Cheryl Jacobs, Senior Vice President, MCG Partners
Cheryl Jacobs is Senior Vice President for MCG Partners, a premier
provider of leadership, talent, sales and organizational effectiveness
solutions. Cheryl develops and delivers a broad spectrum of customized
training and development programs, and provides advisory and consulting
services to our clients with their employee and leadership development,
succession, talent management, and selection needs. Cheryl is an
executive coach of the firm working with leaders on team effectiveness,
conflict management, influence & persuasion and overall leadership
effectiveness requirements. Cheryl is dedicated to helping leaders and
organizations to achieve their potential. She leverages her extensive
business background to assist our clients in achieving higher levels of
performance.
Cheryl brings over 15 years experience in sales and
marketing, strategic planning, and executive coaching. Previously,
Cheryl was the founder of Talent Transformation, a coaching, training
and talent management consulting firm. Beforehand, she was the Executive
Director of Sales for The Providence Journal Company, a multimedia
organization owned by Belo Corporation. Here, Cheryl oversaw a sales and
marketing staff of 60 and drove strategies, revenue, and multimedia
product development for a $50m budget. Prior to the Providence Journal,
Cheryl spent 10 years in Sales and Strategic Planning at Boston.com and
The Boston Globe.
Cheryl holds a BA from Boston College, an MBA from Suffolk
University and is a member of Suffolk's Executive MBA Alumni Board. In
addition, Cheryl is a certified Executive Coach through the
International Coach Federation (ICF) and is a certified Analyst in the
Predictive Index® (PI®).
Sasha Thaler, Counsel, Bello Welsh, LLP
Sasha Thaler is Counsel in the law firm of Bello Welsh, LLP, a premier boutique law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, concentrating in the representation of management in all aspects of labor and employment law. Sasha’s practice spans all areas of labor and employment law, including defending employers in discrimination, harassment, wage and hour and other employment-related litigation, assisting clients in contract disputes relating to issues from employee compensation to intellectual property protection, and providing counseling to employers on a range of topics, such as employment policies and procedures, wage and hour compliance, employee discipline, leaves of absence, and reductions in force. Sasha also has experience assisting clients in labor negotiations and related grievance and arbitration procedures.
Sasha received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Yale University, and earned her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. Prior to joining Bello Welsh, LLP, Sasha practiced for several years in San Francisco, California.
