John Koester, Director of HR, GEI Consultants, Inc.
John Koester is the Director of HR with GEI
Consultants, one of the nation's leading geotechnical, environmental, water
resources, and ecological science and engineering firms. John is responsible
for overseeing the human resource function for GEI’s 30 plus branch and
project offices across the country, including both the day to day and
strategic management of benefits, HRIS, recruiting, performance management
and employee engagement.
Prior to joining GEI in 2010, he was a member
of the senior management team of a small technology company where he
spearheaded initiatives in recruiting, employee engagement and organizational
development and helped the company achieve profitability for the first time
in its 15-year history.
He teaches the Talent Management
module of NEHRA's HR Basics program, and the Employee Engagement Module
of the Beyond the Basics program. John
holds an M.S. in Human Resource Management from Emmanuel College and a B.S.
in Management from Keene State College.
