Surprising Questions Employees Are Asking Regarding Financial Wellness

Program Overview:

Actual questions from employees to experts in the fields of finance, mortgage, real estate, real estate legal, and insurance. How these questions may lead to presentee-ism, absentee-ism, job turnover, increases in health care costs and a decrease in work environment.  For example:

  • I’m 65 and I just found out I am responsible for my grandchilds college education, what do I do?
  • I’m 24, I just inherited a two family in Southie, and it needs rehabilitation.  Where do I start?
  • How do my student loans affect my credit score and how do I improve my credit score to buy a home?
  • I bought my parent’s house for a dollar and recently put them into long term care.  If I sell the home aren’t I going to get hit with capital gains taxes?
  • My mother owns two investment properties in Boston and may want to do a reverse mortgage on her home so she can stay.  She got something in the mail that said if she pays them $1,5,00 they will help her.  Should she do it?
  • My husband travels for business and is focused on his career.  If something were to happen to me, I’m not sure he is the best person to take care of our daughter and he agrees with me.  Is there something I can put in writing to have my sister be a guardian as well?

After this webinar attendees will know:

  • The common mis-steps employees use to obtain answers to their financial questions
  • Specific workshops and education offered to address employee questions at no cost
  • Why EAP programs are using HomeBenefitIQ to answer their members questions
  • The most asked for and attended workshops
