Jeanette Sanchez, as a student at the English High School, demonstrates a desire to achieve excellence. Jeanette has been involved in the initiation of a theatre department at English High, assisting the director of productions. As the assistant, she has created a production uniting the diverse backgrounds of her classmates, producing English High’s most outstanding work in diversity and talent.

Jeanette has made an immense effort maximizing opportunities to increase her learning. Among her extra curricular activities is the Global Leadership Team, where Jeanette represents the Global Studies department as the only student at English High to complete an independent study program.  She is also involved in programs such as Upward Bound, The Book Club, and the Stars Club.

In addition to her extra curricular activities, Jeanette is enrolled in Honors and Advanced Placement courses, and has risen to the top 5% of her graduating class.

It is her achievement in demonstrating commitment and perseverance that makes NEHRA proud to announce Jeanette Sanchez as the 2007 Medallion Scholarship Award recipient.
