Compassion and Courage Award, in memory of Cheryl Troy and Craig Wood

Marianne Howard
Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Marianne Howard was approached to go to Tulane University after the hurricanes, to help build or rebuild the myriad of HR strategies that need to occur in order to create a new Tulane. She left her job at MIT in order to take on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. She is living firsthand in the chaos, pain and humanity that those affected by the hurricanes have faced. Her ability to empathize and find creative solutions in these circumstances have served her well throughout this assignment.

Congratulations Marianne!
