Create opportunities for you to belong to a Networking Community and connecting you with other HR professionals to build a community of support.  Events, committees, special interest groups, thought leadership and online discussions all help to keep you connected to and inspired by your HR colleagues.

 



Purpose:

 

Founded nearly 30 years ago and with more than 2,000 members, NEHRA is the largest, most influential professional HR organization in the Northeast. NEHRA's goal is to help HR professionals Connect, Grow and Thrive by providing relevant and timely educational programs, access to tools and resources, and myriad opportunities to network with peers. 

 


 

History:

 

NEHRA has been in existence for nearly 30 years. Below is a timeline of major events in NEHRA's history: 

 

1986 – Founded by a small group of HR professionals lead by John D. Erdlen

1995 – Launched first Diversity & Inclusion Gala

1998 – Became an Affiliate of SHRM

2007 – Hired new Executive Director and brought NEHRA operations internal

2008 – Launched a new website and moved corporate office to Waltham, MA

2009 – Created HR Basics Program

2011 – Created Beyond the Basics Program

2012 – Moved corporate office to Concord, MA

2013 – Re-branded the organization and implemented a new website
